After a 41-year absence,
Formula One racing returns to Las Vegas in 2023 with the inaugural Las Vegas
Grand Prix. This 3.8-mile street race will be held on a Saturday night,
November 18, on a brand new circuit known as the Las Vegas Strip Circuit.
The 17-turn Race track for the F1 Grand Prix Las Vegas
2023 incorporates major roads on the Las Vegas Strip, including Las Vegas
Boulevard, Harmon Avenue, Koval Lane, and Sands Avenue. F1 cars are expected to
hit top speeds of over 210 mph as they zoom past landmarks like the Bellagio,
Caesars Palace, and the Venetian. First look at a car taking a lap on the @F1 Las #Vegas Grand Prix track. This is the @MercedesAMG safety vehicle.#LasVegasGPpic.twitter.com/G0HSIgdtZZ
Racing at night allows Las Vegas to minimize
disruptions from closing down key streets. It also caters to F1's huge European
fanbase by having a start time on Sunday morning in Europe. While Max
Verstappen has already clinched the 2023 championship, this event should still
excite fans with its blend of glitz, glamor, and high-speed action under the
neon lights.
